WELCOME TO OUR LUCY TOURNAMENT
|
On behalf of everyone at Tattenhoe FC we would like to welcome all teams and spectators to the third Lucy Tournament.
Lucy was a football fan from a young age, she had a dream job working for MK Dons as an Events Coordinator She was also a beloved member of our Tattenhoe family running our Tournaments, Presentations and Events.
Unfortunately, Lucy passed away (May 2022) after a very sudden and short illness from a very rare life-threatening condition called hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis (HLH), which affects just 1 in 1.2 million people. It is caused by an overactive and abnormal response of the immune system resulting in the body attacking it's own healthy cells. We would like to raise awareness of HLH through today's tournament and provide a legacy that Lucy would be proud of. If we can help prevent just one other person and their family and friends going through what we have all been through, we know Lucy would be grateful.
There will be several activities we would encourage you to take part in (if possible) to help us raise funds for Histio UK.
We would like to thank you all in advance for making this tournament a great success. We hope we have done Lucy produ with today's Tournament.
Many thanks, Everyone at Tattenhoe FC.
